A Day Trip in... Yokohama, Kamakura & Enoshima Island

[English below] ถ้าพูดถึง one-day trip ใกล้ๆ โตเกียวก็มีอยู่หลายเมือง แต่คราวนี้นัดกับเพื่อนที่ออฟฟิศไป Yokohama และ Kamakura (และได้แถมเกาะ Enoshima ด้วย) เพราะใกล้มาก และไปจากบ้านสะดวกแบบไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนรถไฟเลยด้วยซ้ำ แถมเดินทางแค่ประมาณ 30 นาทีเอง

Taking about one-day trip from Tokyo, there are plenty places to go. This time, my colleagues and I decided to go to Yokohama and Kamakura (plus Enoshima island) because they are super close and we can actually travel from our house by one train within 30 minutes.

จริงๆ แล้วจะไปโยโกฮามาก็แค่ต่อรถไฟจากสถานีชิบูย่า นั่งรถไฟสาย Toyoko Line (สายเดียวกับตอนไปกินชาที่ Jiyugaoka นั่นแหละ) จริงๆ จะลงที่สถานีโยโกฮาม่าเลยก็ได้ แต่ตั้งใจไปไชน่าทาวน์เลยไปลงสถานีปลายทาง Motomachi-Chukagai แทน

You can take Toyoko Line train (the same one we went for tea sipping in Jiyugaoka) straight from Shibuya station. You can get off at Yokohama station but since we planed to go to China Town, we went straight to Motomachi-Chukagai station instead.

โยโกฮาม่าเป็นหนึ่งในเมืองท่าตอนญี่ปุ่นเปิดประเทศ ก็เลยมีสถาปัตยกรรมแบบตะวันตก และก็พวกโบสถ์ ที่เที่ยวสำคัญของที่นี่คือท่าเรือ (แหงสิ) แล้วก็ไชน่าทาวน์ที่มีคนบอกว่าเป็นไชน่าทาวน์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในญี่ปุ่น (หรือโลกนี่แหละ จำไม่ได้เหมือนกัน) จริงๆ มีพิพิธภัณฑ์ราเมนที่เราเข้าไปสั่งถ้วยเล็กๆ และชิมราเมนแบบต่างๆ จากทั่วประเทศได้ แต่ไม่ได้ชอบราเมนขนาดนั้น เลยผ่าน ฮ่าา

Yokohama was a port town in Japanese history so the town has a lot of western architecture as well as churches. The main attractions here are Yokohama port (obviously) and China town which is the biggest one in Japan (or in the world, I'm not entirely sure). Actually, there is ramen museum where you can order small bowls to taste different types of ramen across the country. I'm not fan of the ramen so we didn't go there, lol.

สำหรับการไปคามาคุระก็ไม่ยากเลย เพราะแค่นั่งรถไฟ JR จากสถานีโยโกฮาม่ามาคามาคุระประมาณครึ่งชั่วโมงแค่นั้นแหละ ตัวสถานีเลยไม่มีอะไร แต่ที่เที่ยวสำคัญคือวัด Kotoku-in เพื่อมาชมพระใหญ่คือ Kamakura Daibatsu ซึ่งจำเป็นต้องนั่งรถรางท้องถิ่นมาลงสถานี Hase เดินตามคนมาเรื่อยๆ เดี๋ยวก็เจอเอง ส่วนในแง่ประวัติศาสตร์แล้วเมืองนี้เป็นเมืองแรกที่มีโชกุน บ้านเมืองจะมีความญี่ปุ่นจ้า และมีดาบขายในร้าน?

For Kamakura, it was also easy as you can take JR train for half an hour from Yokohama station to Kamakura station. There is nothing at the main station itself. However, you need to take a local tram to Hase station to go to the town's main attraction called Kotoku-in. This temple is a house of Kamakura Daibatsu or gigantic Buddhist statue. This town is also known as the first place to have shogunate so Kamakura's vibe was very Japanese and most of souvenir shops sold sword.

สุดท้ายถ้าแข่งใจสู้กับคนไหว (สงสัยวันหยุดยาว 3 วันมั้งคนเยอะแทบขาดใจ) ก็สามารถนั่งรถรางต่อมายังสถานี Enoshima จากนั้นก็เดินข้ามสะพานมายังเกาะเล็กๆ จริงๆ ถ้ามาวันอากาศดีจะสามารถเห็นภูเขาไฟฟูจิ (หน้าร้อนคนก็นิยมมาชายหาดที่นี่) แต่ด้วยความเถลไถลเลยมาถึงเกาะตอนพระอาทิตย์ตกแล้ว เลยได้แต่กิน และขึ้นไปชมศาลเจ้าซึ่งช่วงนี้จัดงานไฟไปอีก ก็แปลกดี แต่คิดว่าชาวงใบไม้ผลิหรือหน้าร้อยน่าจะต้องกลับมาอีกรอบ

Lastly, if you have energy to fight with the crowd (or maybe it's a 3-day holiday so it was very crowded), you can ride on the same local tram to Enoshima station. Cross the bridge and you will arrive at the small island. On the sunny day, you can see Fuji-san from here (and it's one of the beach destinations in summer). We arrived late however so we can only ate dinner and walked up the hill to visit a shire. In February, there was a light installations so it was very nice. I'm sure want to come back again to spring or summer.
